Jason, I was talking about putting a lightning arrester between the unit and your power source. You should be able to find these at any electrical supply store, but get a good one. Yes insure it, but that does not help if you are in the heat of battle and it gets zapped. I would agree that it would be better to put the recieving antenna somewhere that there is no movement.
