Torn -

This is actually a big issue in my area. The Terraserver images are early 1990's in my area. Since the early 1990's, most of the irrigated land in our area has changed from flood irrigation to center pivots. On the dryland ground, most of the ground has changed from a wheat/fallow/wheat rotation to a wheat/row crop/fallow rotation. Therefore, nearly all of the field and/or crop zone boundaries in SW Kansas have changed since the early 1990's. Using the old imagery, it is nearly impossible to draw current boundaries.

As far as cost, Mapshots is providing the new imagery at a discounted price to their customers. But cost really isn't the issue. It doesn't matter how much money I spend; I can't get the new imagery in Apex or the GS2....that's the problem.
