I sold a tractor advertised on internet. The buyer was over a thousand miles away. I had owned tractor for 29 years. I looked through my bookkeeping. I had nothing to prove that tractor was mine. The deal went fine. I suppose it is up to buyer to look for liens. Liens need to be updated periodically. Be careful.
