Cartwright, McKenzie County, North Dakota, USA | I would wire it with 10 gauge wire. A 10-gauge copper wire, according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), is generally rated for a maximum of 30 amps at 12 volts DC. Use a continuous duty solenoid to run the pump. Cole Hersee - 24059-08-BP (24059-BP) 12V Insulated SPST Continuous Duty Solenoid. You can use a relay for up to 30 amps but I have had better luck with a solenoid and use a heavy duty toggle switch. Not certain what connector to use between the tractor and sprayer.
