Subject: RE: sorghum sudex silage

NEWI
We are grassfed certified, and as long as it is harvested in milk stage or earlier, it is allowed per our certifiers rules (but corn is not allowed, I know its a grass).
We have cut it (male sterile forage sorghum) and let it dry for 3-4 days before making silage. Since we are also organic certified, we saw more weed pressure doing a 1 cut system, since then (3-4 yrs ago) we have done mixes with sorghum sudan, peas, and other stuff and take 2-3 cuttings. Fields are way cleaner now
