Bottom of the Mitten | My experience is that cold mud is a death sentence for young calves. Not just mud but cold mud. I assume it must zap their body heat out pretty quick. I delayed my calving season a month for this reason. I'm not sure of the details of your timber ground but I'd give it a try vs mud. We do have coyotes in my area so I'm not sure if they would be a possible issue with a newborn calf out in the woods | |
