Bethel, PA | I would make it natural ventilated with high ceilings and wide alleys and curtain side walls. You could use free stall circulation fans. Then you could feed with a tractor mixer and clean mangers with a skid loader. You could also skip the gutter and install an alley scraper or scrape with the skid loader. Make the stall beds 9-12 inches higher than the center alley and install the pipeline about 2 feet behind the cows. Then attach the units between the cows legs like a parallel parlor. Then you won't have to bend nearly as much. We milk this way in our tie stall barn and I really like it. | |
