SW Wisconsin | Several years ago I saw some sell at the sale barn for $10, and thought it was high for those ones. In hindsight, I was probably right about those. I sold them for $225 last year and could have sold more. I told the one guy who was texting me that I'd seen $350 advertised, and he offered that without much hesitation. I said I'd still think about it until Monday or Tuesday.
I only sell healthy calves with colostrum in them, and if they die shortly of something that should have been forseen I'll replace them. So it doesn't bother me asking the top of the market for them, it's just a matter of figuring out where that is. | |
