SW OH | It's called never seize, not never stays tight for a reason. Years ago there was an article in an aggregate magazine that compared many different things on bolt threads in a screen deck. Screen decks vibrate all day long and older screens were held in place with bolts. Of the things tried there was several different types of loctite, grease, oil, silicone, nothing, and never seize. The bolts covered with never seize lasted longest before coming loose. Longer than loctite. The thought is that the lubrication of never seize gets fasteners tighter to start with.
There is a YouTube channel, the torque channel maybe, that has done similar tests on bolt clamping force at the same foot pounds of torque but with different things applied to the threads. Never seize was near or at the top of what was tested.
