West Central Iowa | I am not sure why you would not want to replace the ring gear as a matched set with the pinion shaft. I would think that almost anyone that would sell the pinion shaft is only going to sell it with the ring gear and it is not that hard to swap the new (used) ring gear to the differential housing.
4010's seemed to like to "howl" anyway at transport speeds so I think I would do it "by the book" paying particular attention to the ring gear and pinion setup. | |
