| Back when 855s were new, Cummins used to have a general rule of thumb that it took approximately 10lbs of turbo boost for every 100 engine hp. Now that's far from being 100% accurate as there can be a lot of variables to consider for turbo boost, but it's a good base point to start with. Kind of like Smokey Yunick's recommendation that an engine should have 10 lbs of oil pressure for every 1000 RPM...a good rule of thumb, but not 100% accurate in all situations. | |
