| If it is pulling good and not using excessive fuel I would say you are fine. If it is not pulling good, and not smoking, then I would check for a fuel problem. Of course I am of the school if it is working ,don't mess with it.
I do not understand, but my understanding is manifold pressure can vary, depending on where the sensor is installed at.
Also there could be a kink in the line, depending on if it is a mechanical gauge.
I do not recall the spec on manifold pressure, but for an engine of that age, that could be close, for an engine set below the design limitations. I.E. a 290.
I was told not to worry about exhaust temperature until it was over 1100. I have seen 1325 for a very short time ( seconds) and the engine lived.
