Subject: 90's S10 pickups - somewhat easy to work on?

NE ND
I have 3-4 2wd mid 90s full size chevy pickups that I keep around for foreign labor through the year. One of them is totally shot and needs to go.

On FB marketplace a nice 2wd 1995 S-10 popped up. The seller hasn't got back to me if its the 2.2L or 4.3L. How tight are these things to work on? I like my full size guys because of that reason, easy to work on and parts on Rock Auto are dirt cheap usually. Is the S10 going to make my knuckles scream if I have to one day pull the engine from that girl? Just really never been around one.
