Sure. Typically synthetic blends are a waste of money. Either stick with a conventional oil and change every 5-6k or so or switch to a GOOD full synthetic like mobil-1 or better yet, Amsoil. Then don't worry about an oil change for a good 20k, on the Amsoil anyways.

ABSOLUTELY synthetic blends are just a marketing ploy to get the buyer to think they get the same protection as full synthetic.
Motor oil has made great improvement over the years and a "GOOD" conventional is as good or even better than a cheap synthetic.
The only thing common to all synthetics is that they all have medium size molecules whereas the conventional has 3 types,
Small, Medium & Large. The medium size are those that keep lubricating the other 2 will get burned and end up as deposits on the cylinder head & valves.
