Western New York | Good morning. We are working on a JD 7610. Two questions. First, the 540 would not engage and upon disassembly found the roll pin was shaped like a banana. I believe that this being bent would not allow there to be enough travel to fully engage the splines. Thoughts?
Second, now that it is apart, it seems like a good time to check the clutches. I have taken the bolts out of the clutch pack, how do you open the pack? Looking at the break down on the JD parts site, it looks as if the two halves should come apart. What am I missing?
