Well my family has an offer on land that is considerably more than the ag value is. It seems like a good number but, I don’t know how much opportunity I will lose if it goes through, but I do know cows will never make as much as the 40 years or even in 10 years. But on the other hand, money does not buy happiness and there will always be the next thing to come along, that will be out of financial reach. But on the business side of it, ag production is getting to be the byproduct of the land, the people buying the vast tracks of land aren’t looking at just the ag value of the land, they are looking at carbon sequestion value, renewable engergy value, mineral value and whatever imaginary market value that can be made up in the future.
