If you can get through and see this, try it, it might work again.

Also, this is public information on CloudFlare's website, this shows NAT's recent traffic. Kinda interesting.

So Vietnam and Germany are both visiting this forum more than us? Interesting.

For many years, people in India were getting into computers but, to save a buck, almost no one used an antivirus. India was behind a lot of DDoS attacks back then. Most people probably had no idea that their computers had been compromised.

Vietnam huh…cuz there’s SO many agtalkers in Nam…

Sure makes me wonder what is it about this site and the participants that makes them want to infiltrate? Bunch crusty farmers arguing amongst ourselves about notill vs tillage or equipment brands and pickup models?

I know when I drive across the country, every open piece of ground, to me, looks like a potential field or pasture…to a scammer, every human looks like a source of revenue?

I know this site is almost unusable since the upgrade…dam shame really

These same type of cyber attacks are ultimately the reason the AgWeb discussion board ceased to exist.

<<<>>>>My bets on the # 1 statement are that the troublemakers make us out to be rich but stupid but lucky people (AKA EASY TARGETS FOR THEFT) because agriculture production and abundance of machines and lands and the amounts of money tied up in our operations makes us look like we wont even miss any moneys if we get scammed. But they don't see the costs or the losses or the thin margins, and how sometimes we operate at a loss, they see just the assets and loads going to the market. So in the America's, I think that is a reason we get targeted.
I might be all wrong though.

This case it appears there is an organized band of scammers from across an ocean that are stealing boatloads of money from folk with scam ads in Craigslist and marketplace and so on.

A fella called them out on it in a couple of forums, including this forum.

The international scammers got mad and hired (or programmed themselves) some software that uses unsuspecting people’s computers to keep accessing web sites over and over and over, knocking out access by real people.

As long as they are in a country without much law what they are doing is pretty low cost, just takes a computer or two and time. In their native economy they are likely living high off the hog and don’t want to give that up, they are used to rough and tough old Wild West type of living.

Can anyone provide a link to the thread? This really couldn't have come at a worse time...and I missed the post.

This is the thread is the reason the storm started.

If you do a search for the author of that thread he has other threads detailing the threats directed at him.

Get your crop planted.   We'll still all be here in a week or two.

Should pass the halfway mark on corn tonight or tomorrow. Then, on to beans.

I moved the thread to a private area. We'll see if this helps.

Like I said in the other thread............when it comes back, it's better than ever. But eventually I'd bet we all can't get on again before the day is over........just like before. Hopefully they'll figure out a permanent solution soon.

Ron ...NEIL posted this in another thread:

"One thing I notice when using Google Chrome is that if you try to load AT from a tab that currently has another program open, then the "time out" thing will happen. I can make it happen right now.

But, if you go to one of the vacant, not-yet-open tabs, and click on AT, it opens almost immediately after the quick verification process. I demonstrated that to a family member today that said he couldn't get AT to load and often had the same problem at home. I went to his computer & told him to "X out" of one of the tabs that had a (any) program open and then click on AT icon. He was amazed at how quickly it loaded.

I don't mean that you have to close all tabs, just try & load AT from a fresh tab, which shows on my computer as "New Tab".

See if this helps. It works for me anyway."
