“These are the times that try men's souls.” | We use quite a variety of Black Angus also some exposure to no more than 1/2 Sim/Angus. I run on common on federal lands where exposure to these bulls. I used to breed 1/3 of my cow herd to red bulls, Red Angus & Gelbiveh. I used to have a total red herd thay consisted of a 1/3 of my cattle that once came from a total Hereford base.
Looking maybe going back to 100 head of red cows in a few years to keep things mixed up. I love red cattle with black bulls. However in selling with neighbors we have kept black contracts. |
