Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I purchased a used STX-450 Quad on a retirement auction a few years back. I'm happy enough with the original seat but it has a squeak as it moves around horizontally. To me it sounds like plastic on plastic and is very irritating. If I brace my feet against the foot pegs to prevent horizontal movement, the squeaking stops.
Any bright ideas on how to stop these squeaks? I suppose the entire seat could be removed and disassembled to see where the rubbing points might be. Obviously it would be more desirable to fix it without removing.
