| The first piece I tried the baler on was a much heavier 4th cutting a couple of weeks ago and the windrows were a little too big and I could not get away from the middle of the bale, even with the extra wide pickup. Somehow I guess the Krone is more forgiving about that. The bales weren't bad just a little barrel shaped and the net tended to tear in the middle of the bale. The rolls were wrapped with feed when I finished but I made 30 or so bales without too much trouble. But this last time the windrows were much smaller plus I adjusted the rake to try and make the windrows tighter. I could definitely put the feed all on one side and then all on the other. I went with my usual weave down the windrow but kept an eye on the monitor to check that the bale was forming nicely. It is sounding like the feed was just too short and green for the baler. And that it can happen with a NH.
Thanks for all the thoughts. | |
