current gate bottom bar is 8" from the ground, next is 16". feeding on a flat apron directly in front of the gate (ideal). not sure if that will work. according to the doc Dabeegman sent, throat height of 16" would be fine but they were factoring feeding in a bunk, not on a flat apron, so not sure the same would apply.
