Subject: John Deere 608 stalkmaster loosing the cobs that are close to the ground

SE ND
So like mentioned I can’t seem to get the cobs closer to the ground you know the short corn around low spots or in tougher spots. I have opposing stalk rollers and chopping head. Would it be better to roll my feeder house back all the way so it’s flatter or roll forward so it’s pitched at more of an angle. I have a s680 and have tried both ways with not allot of success in saving them. Any ideas?
