| Dad partnered a bunch of cows in what I guess you'd call a modified drylot- fed at mechanical bunk and watched for heat detection then turned out to pasture each day. Partner was a city guy who had two young daughters who wanted to get into 4-H, so he bought two donkeys to help break calves to lead. Hilarious watching the cows discover these strange creatures as they walked off the trailer.
Donkeys eventually had to go, though- they took up about 10 ft either side of themselves at the feed bunk. |
