Western Oregon | My wifes Dad died at 50, her Mom had never worked outside the home. She got a job with the schools, mainly drove 1 child to town for special school and worked 1 on 1 with him the rest of the school day, about 6 hrs. We moved her into a small cabin near our home on our 4 acres. She retired at 65 but her S.S was only about $600/month. We helped her out until she started having memory issues. We couldn't handle her and had to put her in memory care for her last 6 years. While there she was on Medicaid. She was a real handful. Care wasn't the best and she had little strokes and dehydration issues. She passed away at 83....James | |
