Coles County, Illinois | You can spend anywhere from $1000 for a used display/receiver to $30,000 for new system that'll turn you around on the ends. I've yet to hear anyone that regrets spending too much. Receivers that use the free correction service (WAAS in the USA) are plenty accurate to handle tillage and preplant spraying. A painting display is better than foam for spraying but adding autosteer sure makes spraying a lot easier. I don't find using a display without autosteer useful for tillage.
Where upgrading to more expensive receivers and correction signals becomes useful is planting and being able to autosteer post chemical applications. | |
