Nebraska | CRP is a ridiculous concept. I can’t grasp how it gets sold to the public to foot the bill. It’s not public use land, but they are paying for it to sit idle. I think the whole program should be scrapped. And if that’s not palatable to some, it at least should have a rental rate that is 50% lower than the lowest ag use rental rate in the county. Doing nothing should not have a higher rental payment than doing something. | |
