Subject: Can you merge two 40' swaths with a 4 wheel rake?

Nunn CO
Hello all,
We are thinking of putting up some dry land hay this year. We are close to a large population center and everyone owns a horse or cow here and needs cheap hay.

We will be swathing with a 40' Macdon D60D head. This will be fairly low yielding ground. Hoping between .3-.5 tons an acre. For that reason I would like to push two 40' swaths together to keep the baler moving along. They will land about 7' from outside of swath to outside of swath. There is a 4 wheel 3 point rake for sale locally. Can that merge those two together? If not what would you recommend for something quick and dirty? We only get a hay crop about one every 5 years.

Clarification: the draper has a 3' opening, roughly. So there will be two 3' windrows side by side and probably a 1' in between them. Making up 7'of total width we are trying to merge together.
