| And... here's the problem with I-State credibility. All the talk about how dry basically the northwestern third of Iowa was. Well, there's 35 counties in the northwest, north central, and western crop districts of Iowa. Only 7 of those had a 2022 crop below the 10-year average (and some of those by only like 1-3%) while 11 had their all-time record high yield.
That high priced dirt ALSO buys the weather patterns that so often bring the grain filling rain after pollination when Missouri, Kansas, etc. just bake to death. |
