South Central MN | The worst was planted right before the rain, and very few of the early planted fields look that great when driving around, some have a good stand but are several shades of green from healthy green to basically yellow.
Some of the best stuff is what is now coming up that was planted after the rain, time will tell how well that does.
I don't see a record breaking corn crop around here, yes it could still be above average if the rest of the year turns out well but not a record...
Funny part is it is getting dry in spots again. Took a while for 5 ish inches of rain to dry out, then once it got fit it seemed to go to the dry side in a matter of a week. Won't be good if June is dry again like last year. | |
