South Central MN | I live along a state highway where the speed limit is 60. If I had to guess 1/3 or more of the vehicles going past my place 1 mile out of town are doing 70+, especially passing some other vehicle that is going 60-64 MPH.
The other north/south state highway near me is still 55 because it has horrible shoulders, yet everyone thinks it is 60.
Pretty sure that law only applies when passing vehicles that are doing less than the posted speed limit, if you pass someone doing 61 in a 60 I would plan on getting a ticket if caught. | |
