south central WI | I put $125 (I think) a month in a 529 for each kid. It ended up over 6 figures total (2 were started late, one around birth). 2 have graduated nd not gone to college so it's been switched to the last kids name. He's going to state school so I hope to have some left, or another one goes to college would also be nice. Anything left goes to me. Looking back I probably should have just put the money in my own Roth or towards my mortgages. The way I did it does make the money stand out as dedicated for college so easier to use it for that. It's hard to borrow money to pay for a kids college, but if it's already sitting there it makes it easier. | |
