Subject: RE: Kids' College Fund Ideas

Franklinton, LA
You can usually get some type of scholarship with an ACT score of 28. The scholarships are a lot better with an ACT of 30 or more. In Louisiana you can get free tuition at any state university if you sign up for 6 years in the LA National Guard. For a little over 60 years, MS State University has had a Co-op Program for engineering students. After the second year of college students work one semester and go to college one semester. It will take 5 years to graduate but the new engineer will have some good experience and references.

The other posters made some good comments on financial aid. If a student's parents are married, employed and have light skin pigmentation, they are out of luck!
