Some people next town over were renting some ground in the early 80s for late sixties rent of $20/ac when rent was at least $60 by then. So these brothers offered to buy it for $500/ac and succeeded.
The previous renters are STILL bitter for those guys buying it 40 plus years later. Had they been fair with the owners, they might have kept the farm one way or another.
