Cherokee iowa | We got a positive basis in fat cattle and corn. Will the paper cattle ever meet the cash price? I’m open on all mine no hedges so to speak. Every month at the sale barn I get more $s. Is there really a shortage of beef? With corn going down I’ll feed longer get them fatter. So I guess would that make the front month lead and maybe august pull back alittle. Or is the market just going to battle for supplies from here on out taking every month with it. Any insight or knowledge would be appreciated.
