SW Ohio | Interesting that you caught that. I am one who is not afraid to take a brand new machine and modify it to make it better. In this case I found that when baling at a somewhat faster ground speed the ejector chain would have enough extra momentum to rotate too far past where it should stop, hence the rubber flap is a brake of sorts that stops it or slows it down in the right position but still lets it go past when it needs to. What you can't see is I also added a wedge on the right rear to push the bales away from that chain as when they are "stringy or woolly" they get caught in the chain and you get one bale out of position in the block | |
