Subject: application rate module necessary? implement switch?

north central kansas
I am adding some modules to my planter and can't find or recall if I hooked the application rate module up for this purpose:

On CIH 900 planter, have a dc motor driver, liquid product module, clutch control module and Seed tube monitor module. I have two implement switches to turn on/off pump and Slectro row shutoffs. Using an Integra with multi-product unlock and have Autoswath. Diagram says implement switches go into the Clutch Module. I want to map both liquid fertilizer and also the variety planted.

What role does application rate module serve and does the implement switch need to be teed into it too? I move some of these modules to my drill and I am thinking the application rate module was just used for mapping?? I was using the liquid product control module there for starter as well. The clutch module and seed tube module are exclusive for the planter setup.

TIA,

Rick
