That’s true to a point. Wheat is a dry weather crop but it still needs water to yield well.
Our wheat sloughed off tillers to try to save itself. Shortened plant height. I think we have adequate moisture to fill what is left now but being so dry so long took half the yield potential off of what we normally would expect. And I consider myself lucky to have that.
