If you're just doing row crop things you can likely not notice a difference.

If you're doing vertical things like land leveling, tile installation, etc then there is a big difference between the two and radio with base is far better.

Just doing 2 pass striptill/plant, nothing vertical. Then spraying down 30" rows with 24" floater tires at times. Was told by several people that centerpoint rtx would be close enough to rtk that we'd never notice a difference. That was way off, we are constantly nudging to keep the planter on the center of the strip. If we go back to radio rtk, it will be using dealers base station network so will be up to 10 miles from base at times.

On digifarms website they show a coverage map. This map shows circles of coverage around all their bases. Are these bases that are in the center of the circles actually physical bases or are they virtual bases?

They are the physical base locations. A Virtual Base is created close to you when you log on to the servers. It uses averages of all the bases that surround you. Anytime you are in the coverage area between bases, you will have the best accuracy they can offer as long as you have enough cell signal to receive corrections. Once you get to the outer fringe, accuracy will start to decline. In the picture below the Holly, Coolridge area would be as good as it can be as it is surrounded by bases at a typical baseline distance. The Deora Atlanta area would probably still be OK. Chances are you would not be happy in Keyes, Kenton and Kim areas due to not having bases on all sides.
