Milford, IL | I have not had that surgery but was considering it at a younger age. Solution for me was two fold. First, get away from as many irritants as possible. #1 was cigarette smoke (I don't smoke but was regularly around other smokers). Other irritants for me were ultra fine dust, so now I put on a respirator when I get in a grain bin, or tackle some other very dusty job. I also started using 'Flonase' (generic or branded) during the spring and summer months. Some tree pollens and definitely ragweed pollen are irritants for me. Before I would get regular sinus infections which were very unpleasant. Ten years now and still no trouble with this strategy and I avoided surgery, I understand that your wife may have already tried these things and surgery is the only option. | |
