Evidently not fast enough for GM. They've announced that they're working a gen-6 small block engine to replace the current gen-5 small block. Nobody knows any details about that teased gen6; there doesn't seem to be any more low-hanging fruit to include in a gen6 design, unless GM switches it to an overhead cam setup, which also doesn't seem likely.
Any chance that GM might be investigating a v10 option again?
