Likely because a turbo gasser would require premium, and too many would be tempted to use regular gas since the option is right there. With a diesel you are forced to only have one available source.



Exactly right, plus if you look at the big 700-1000 HP Mopar boosted (supercharged / turbocharged) gassers. If you could keep it cool, would you want to feed something like that ? I read that a supercharged Hellcat, Red eye, 170, will empty a Charger / Challenger gas tank in 15 minutes at wide open throttle. There is a reason the things have a 1/2 inch gas line.
