H is a good tractor to restore. Simple to work on and parts available and it’s a nice tractor when you are done.

As others say, it might be a good side raking tractor for you when done.

To run the baler, something with a live or independent pto is a much better tractor, by leaps and bounds.

The H will be low on hydraulic pressure also for any uses that need hydraulics. Many H came with the small pto size, there are updates to that. It’s is strong enough to run an older baler, but not by much.

We have an H and we have a 300. Both are fairly similar tractors only a decade newer. The 300 has a fast hitch, independent Pto, 8 speed with the TA, and 5-6 more horsepower. It is a world different tractor for pulling the New Holland 270 baler. Just so very much better with these small improvements. The 300 is a joy to bale with; the H we can get some baking done if we have to.
