Subject: RE: Streaming 32% on 6" tall wheat

Very common in our area. We are all hard red winter wheat. but "here" on wheat that size lots of people don't even stream it they use flat fans nozzles. We stream it on at much larger sizes even into/after heading if the situation calls for it. I like chafer stream bars but there are all kinds of streamer nozzles that work too. 3 5 or 7 hole. I think only 1 time on 1 place have I ever been able to see any burn with chafer stream bars. they also can run at any height. nozzles you need to tinker with the proper height to get the right pattern. I wouldnt worry a second about hurting yield. youre just going to help it. but thats all "here" in SW Oklahoma.
