We went 2 years ago and I agree on the spots everyone else mentioned. This is probably something that will not interest you you but we rented a UTV for a day from a place in Spearfish canyon, we really enjoyed riding the trails and backroads. We stayed the night before in a lodge right across the road from the rental place and it was really nice also.
