Southeast Colorado | I'm a pretty reluctant follower of these yield stats..........because I've spent time around govt folks who are responsible for comprising this data.
So sorry, I'm just a gut feel common sense guy. And probably not the best one to debate this subject with. I realize I'm not in the heart of the corn belt..........so could be out of touch, but just can't imagine how guys/families that have been planting corn for 100 years are all of the sudden seeing huge yield gains in the last few years. I'm fine with technology bumps of a couple bushels per year. However, I can't help but remember every acre where we're proud to grow 75 bpa corn (thanks to those same yield bumps) majorly offsets national BPA yield. | |
