Oklahoma Panhandle | 2004 only had 81 Million acres planted. We are over 90 Million planted today. All those acres came from the fringe and that is where the USDA messes up. The best acres were always corn. The higher price pushes more acres that were everything else to corn.
There will be a lot more acres of Sorghum planted this year than normal. If North Dakota can plant this week there will be more acres of corn planted that the USDA predicted.
When they did that survey it was dry out west. That is no longer the case. | |
