East of Broken Bow | 1) Medical mishaps happen more than most people think. My dad had kidney stones, and they almost operated on the wrong kidney, until he insisted that the pain was 'on the other side'.
2) They will never, ever admit a 'mistake'. The nurse saying 'oh my' is about all you can expect. Admitting they gave medication that they were told not to would be an admission of wrongdoing. Do not ever expect that to happen.
3) If a doctor makes that mistake repeatedly, they will most likely quietly move on to a different Hospital, and wind up doing it to someone else. Until someone actually dies from it, don't expect anything more. In fact, it probably will take more than one death before you can expect anything more.
