555 I feel your concerns. I felt similar concerns over the last couple years and here we are again locally too in the upcoming 14 days. I got ridiculed a few times on here for posting observations so I just don’t anymore. In that particular year I believe we were like 127 out of 130 in our crop district. It was very dry and very warm. Eventually we started catching some just in time rains and personally turned out very good. However, any direction greater than 30 miles from me became different stories as they didn’t catch the rains or have enough for totals. Farm averages of 135 vs 200+ APH happened 3 directions while the other was more like 160 vs 200+. In the end it never mattered in the big picture. When I look at that crop district map, I say there’s a lot of major corn areas that the market cares about that’s very dry. The forecast at some point will have to show rain or I think it could become a story.
