If you are looking to haul farm stuff, a one ton pickup and gooseneck will get much less scrutiny from DOT than the little hauler trucks. Run a regular plate, never run a T or F plate, you're not declaring a weight with a regular plate, as far as DOT is concerned you're hauling sailboat fuel. Run till you get a prick weigh master that will make you change. It'll likely take years, and be cheaper. | |
