scmn | Most trucks made today will be 26,000 since CDL does not kick in until 26,001. The interesting thing is you can legally drive a 26,000 GVWR truck while pulling a 10,000 GVWR trailer which puts your GCWR at 36,000 and do not need a CDL..
Now it looks like Florida recognizes CFVs (covered farm vehicles) so keep it under 26,001 and you are good nation wide without a CDL. When you are over 26,001 you do not need a CDL when staying within 150 'air miles' from the farm/ranch. Key note is the exemption is 150 'air miles' which is 172.6 'statute miles' since an 'air mile' is 6076ft while a statute miles is only 5280ft.
